Latache is an asset management firm specializing in structured credit, focused on generating differentiated returns by investing in opportunistic and alternative debt assets. Initially concentrated on distressed debt, nowadays focused on providing capital across different structures.

Founded in 2015, Latache is positioned as a special situations manager, investing in cash-generating companies and differentiated credit assets that often overlooked by large Brazilian banks.

Having operated across the liquidity spectrum – from distressed to high-yield credit – we realized that we could maximize risk/return through a hybrid ‘semi-liquid’ approach that allows us to invest opportunistically through changing economic cycles.

Our goal in providing credit is to be a catalyst for transformation, enhancing a company’s financial profile and creditworthiness. We aim to make a meaningful impact by improving capital structure and enabling sustainable growth. We act as activist lenders, actively adding value and maintaining close oversight of our investments, as we do not subscribe to a passive credit approach.

Opportunistically, we also pursue private equity opportunities, partnering with companies undergoing restructuring or facing challenges in accessing long-term capital.

Our Business

We focus on special situations opportunities – including high-yield, convertible, mezzanine, distressed, equity investments, etc. – in the Brazilian market. We currently manage over USD 400 milllion in assets, backed by local single-family offices who are our great business partners.
